Milwaukee Electric Tool Wins NECA 2010 Industry Partner Award

The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is pleased to recognize the contributions of Milwaukee Electric Tool, Brookfield, Wis., to electrical contractors with its 2010 Industry Partner Award. Milwaukee will receive the award at NECA's 2010 Board of Governors meeting in Boston, Oct. 1.

NECA's Industry Partner Award recognizes those organizations or individuals who, though not members of NECA, contribute to the electrical contracting industry’s success through their decisions, actions, or cooperation with NECA. Previous winners of the Industry Partner Award include the National Fire Protection Agency (1996), Graybar Electric Co. (2004), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (2008).

For more than 85 years, Milwaukee has designed and manufactured many of the power tools widely used in the electrical construction trade and pioneered safety innovations to better protect workers who use these tools. Milwaukee Electric Tool became a NECA Premier Partner in 2008.

Milwaukee has generously supported NECA's educational initiatives for many years, as an exhibitor at the NECA Show, a supporter and platinum level training partner for the National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee and as a new member of ELECTRI International’s Partner’s for Progress program. Most recently, Milwaukee gave a tour of its facilities and hands-on tool demonstrations at its headquarters for NECA's Future Leaders Group. Milwaukee will lead a technical workshop at NECA 2010 Boston's trade show on "Power Tool Safety and Productivity," Oct. 2.

"Milwaukee has helped NECA advance education and training across the electrical industry, and we greatly appreciate their continued support," said NECA CEO John M. Grau. "They have been a true industry education partner for the association."

“We are extremely proud to receive this exclusive award and consider it an honor to partner with NECA to demonstrate our shared commitment to the Electrical trades,” said Steven Richman, President of Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation. “Milwaukee remains committed to disruptive innovation and delivering solutions for Electricians that increase productivity and enhance ease-of-use.”
