Description:

See what’s new in the NJATC’s training of the outside industries workforce. Training in specialized areas, technician training, the use of computers and simulators in the delivery of the training are just a few of the areas that will be presented and discussed in this most informative workshop.

Benefit from the new NJATC’s training for the outside industries workforce. Learn the details of how this new curriculum includes the use of computers and simulators in the delivery of the training.

The new online “blended learning” experience which combines the power of an electronic learning environment with printed reference materials, classroom instruction, and application (hands-on) based experiences will be demonstrated. Attendees will be able to experience what is involved in the delivery of the curriculum in an online format. The many advantages of this learning management system which was designed by Cengage Learning for the NJATC will be discussed and demonstrated.

Simulator training has been used for years with aviation and military training. Come see how this method of training is being developed for the outside line construction industry. 3DInternet is developing simulators that achieve the highest retention rates. The transformer simulator being customized for the NJATC curriculum is a fully interactive training tool that simulates transformer hookups as close to real life as possible. It provides both a schematic and a 3D field view with the ability to switch between views. In addition to the transformer simulator, 3DInternet is also working on an Effective Cover-up training course for the NJATC which contains 3D video content that demonstrates the proper use of cover-up. It contains interactions and stunning content that will keep apprentices and Journeymen fully immersed in the learning objectives. Both the transformer simulator and the effective cover-up programs will be demonstrated and program attendees will have a chance to interact with both of these programs.

3DInternet’s training programs also include training for Cooper Reclosers, Voltage Regulators, Bonding and Grounding, Subdivision Design, Substations and more.
